The city of Tampere and NCC Property Development Oy jointly organized a two-phase invitational competition for the design of the Lielahti regional center in 2012, which our office won.

The building is a so-called hybrid building that houses both commercial and public services provided by the city of Tampere.

Public services include the library, Lielahti health center, dentist, seniors’ service center.

Commercial services in the destination are represented by e.g. fashion stores, restaurants, cafes, private medical services and household goods stores.

From the Lielahti center there is an organized connection to the nearby Prisma business center.

The building was awarded the BREEAM Very Good certificate in 2015.
